Help for Haiti

One of my best friends, Rooney, asked me to bake two cakes for both of his brothers birthdays, which are on the same weekend!!! I bake cakes and sell them for a company that has been in Haiti for twenty-six years and needs help. So he asked me to make a Lemon cake, and my signature Dark Chocolate cake.

3 hours later

It was difficult, but somehow I did it!! :-) YAY!!!!!

4 hours later

SO I just got back from their birthday party, and Mrs. deButts FORGOT TO PAY ME!!!!! :-( . Well when they get me the money I’ll send it right to Haiti.

And, for the best chocolate cake EVER, use Hershey’s (R) Dark chocolate Cocoa Powder.

Tata for now!!

A Dreamer’s Awakening

My friend once told me that people don’t always believe in what they can do. I didn’t believe her. She said that she was one of those people. Of course, I didn’t believe that either. I always thought that she was one of those people that once they put their mind to something they went through with it no matter what they thought they could do it or not. She said that she was about give up on her dream to go to Shenandoah Conservatory and go and be an engineer. I couldn’t believe it. She said that her dream had been to become a professional dancer. We were at a Panera(R) when she told me her whole story. She was living in California when she got caught in a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. She and her family ran outside, but she forgot her teddy bear. She made her mother go back inside their house to get her Teddy bear. She has been training in dance for more than seventeen years. She is my best friend, even though she’s eight years older than me. She showed me that there is a way to follow your dreams, even if you don’t believe that you can do it.
